Mantracking

Mantracking - the art of finding, reading and following human tracks.

Norwegian Bushcraft can offer this unique course thanks to our collaboration with one of the world's best mantracker instructors. Having taken a course with her myself, it was natural to enter into a collaboration in order to be able to offer this to more people here in Norway.

Kyt Lyn Walken Allsopp is a representative and official instructor for U.S. Hull's Tracking School, as well as Certified anti-poaching Ranger for Conservation Rangers Operations Worldwide Inc.

Since 2017, she has been teaching SAR, Forensic and Tactical Tracking all over Europe.

She is author of 5 books and several articles devoted to the theme of deciphering and following footprints.

The course runs over two full days and is a practical course, with theory incorporated along the way. You will learn how to identify, read and follow human tracks in different areas and how to retrieve data from both new and old tracks. This knowledge is very useful for the military, police and rescue teams, but also nice to know for civilians. For example, learning to read our own footsteps in case we get lost. So-called backtracking. This course will also cover basic anti-tracking.

You do not need any prior knowledge to participate in this course.

After the course, you receive a certificate of participation and two manuals by Kyt Lyn Walken Allsopp free of charge in PDF format.

The course is held in an easily accessible area in Løten in Innlandet, Norway, approx. one hour from Oslo Airport Gardermoen. Address will be given when you havesigned up and are registered. We can be helpful with arrangement of accommodation if you need this before, during or after the course. You can also get in touch for advice on the best way to travel.
