FIRESKILLS COURSE

The fireskills class is a session that focuses on traditional bushcraft techniques and primitive fire-starting methods. Participants will learn how to create different types of campfires suitable for various scenarios and weather conditions.

This outdoor course spans 5-6 hours, emphasizing the need to dress appropriately for the weather and bring provisions. Cooking food over the fire is encouraged, with coffee, tea, water, and more available throughout the day.

    • The course commences with instruction on using a firesteel, providing valuable skills for sparking fires using a variety of materials, even in unfavorable conditions. Each participant will receive a firesteel as part of the course.


    • Exploring historical fire-starting methods predating the invention of matches 200 years ago adds a unique and enjoyable dimension to the training.


    • A significant portion of the course is dedicated to practicing friction fire techniques, with a focus on the bow drill method ideal for the Nordic region. This method is widely appreciated in the global Bushcraft community.
