NAVIGATION COURSE
The navigation course runs over one or two days and will give you knowledge and skills in the use of maps and compasses, GPS and navigation with natural signs.
Map & compass
Learn to interpret maps effectively, distinguish between various compass types, practice taking bearings on a map using a compass, identify misalignments, and correct them for accurate navigation.
GPS
Master adding and removing waypoints on a GPS, utilize map references with GPS devices, plan routes incorporating multiple waypoints, and adjust GPS settings for optimal functionality. GPS is a part of the two day course only.
Natural Navigation
Explore natural navigation techniques such as using the sun for orientation, creating a sun compass or sundial, recognizing natural signs for navigation in wooded areas, and understanding star navigation methods.
Courses are if not otherwised informed, held in Løten, approximately an hour from Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
